This is a national day of remembrance of 25/4 1915; when the ANZACS[ AUSTRALIAN &NEWZEALND ARMY CORPS  STORMED THE CLIFFS AT Gallipoli; THOUSANDS DIED ; and a tradition was established in their honour; We have been close friends and allies of New Zealand ever since and many NZ's live in Autralia permanently . They play a ferocious game of football and their massive full backs are almost impossible to bring down.N.Z. natives ; the Maori are splendid warriors and gave the ENGLISH  an almighty thrashing ; before they finally threw them out. We fondly refer to them as Kiwi's [ after the small flightless bird which is native to their islands] All over AUSTRALIA; in EVERY town city or suburb; Australians march on this day to give our fallen; the honour , they so richly deserve. Gallipoli was sheer bloody murder .

Just a country boy from Bathurst N.S.W. Bathurst was the first major town established after the mountain range [ known as the great dividing range was crossed]; It is now a CITY.
