There is just "something " about the smell; pall of smoke; recoil etc when you fire one of these . Sure ; a lot of fiddling around to load; but heaps of fun to use. There is also the sudden event of a "chain fire"; that can occur if you leave any grains of powder around the head of the cylinder. THEN; when a round is fired, the thing can set off a chain reaction and all other unfired, but loaded cylinders all go off at the same time. A mite unnerving when it happens. For years , I was a quite mad enthusiist of "muzzle loaders" which is exactly what c&b revolvers are. My absolute favourite was a RUGER "old army" .44 stainless steel version.[a hand gun.] A friend had a Desert Eagle[ACP] .45 semi auto and never stopped complaining about the smoke from the muzzle loaders; said he could not see the target, because of it. And kept bragging that his was a "REAL HAND GUN"

Just a country boy from Bathurst N.S.W. Bathurst was the first major town established after the mountain range [ known as the great dividing range was crossed]; It is now a CITY.
