My wife served as an Army MP Sgt. in the 443rd MP Company for eight years. She proudly served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and Noble Eagle. She has been around the world on peace keeping missions and is a true hero, like all Veterans.

The company she works for has utterly disrespected her. They are well aware she is a vet, as I have told them on several occasions. They sent the district manager today to threaten her that she will be face unemployment if she does not sell enough by Dec. 31st. Just what the world needs, another unemployed vet. They could have waited till next week, yet they chose to threaten a veteran, and a hard worker who gets good marks on evaluations with termination ON VETERAN'S DAY. Rather than showing respect they spit in her face out of retaliation. Completely inexcusable and arrogant. It makes me sick to know that they would disrespect a hero like this.

The long and short is that she was slapped in the face by her store manager last year. Corporate did nothing about it and the CEO has yet to respond to her to apologize and make things right. I contacted the CEO's attorney yesterday letting him know that Julie is a veteran and in honor of veteran's day the CEO should contact her to thank her for her service and offer his apologies for what had happened to her at his company and for the corporation's total lack of immediate response.

They have not done so and the CEO refuses to call her to speak to her as any good leader would. In my opinion he has totally spit in the face of a combat veteran on veteran's day by not, at the very least, taking 2 minutes out of his day to thank her for her service. This disgusts me and I would like to send a strong message to Sterling Jewelers that they will not disrespect my wife and will not disrespect our service men and women on such an important day.

Can anyone please help me get the word out? Please contact the CEO of Sterling, Mark Light (mlight @ jewels dot com) or his bully of an attorney Steve Zashin (ssz @ zrlaw dot com). I have let them know, on several occasions, how disgusting I think their company is for what they do to people but they don't care and just threaten to throw me in jail if I contact the CEO. I need help and I don't know where to turn. I will never quit fighting for Julie's honor and the honor of every vet out there if I have to.

God bless our warriors, and thank you for your service. Happy Veteran's Day!

Joe
