I have a question concerning being authorized a handicap placard to place in my vehicle at places that allow handicap parking.  I am 80% disabled but have never been told I am authorized one of these placards.  Is this something you have to ask for?

I have very bad arthritis and the distance I would save being able to utilize one one of these placards would be very beneficial to me.

Thanks to anyone that answers!!

Unfortunately. I do not know2 your system in the States; I do know that there is very wide misuse of these incapacitated stickers in Australia; people taking a relative's card and using it in "no parking " zones etc.

Just a country boy from Bathurst N.S.W. Bathurst was the first major town established after the mountain range [ known as the great dividing range was crossed]; It is now a CITY.

go to your local dmv and get a form for hd placard, take it to your care provider and have them help you fill it out, take it back to dmv and they will give you a placard, there is no charge for this, hope this info is helpfull.

My doctor already had the DMV Handicapped request form there in his office so I only made one trip to the DMV.

In Georgia you get the note from DR and you can get a tag and 1 placard at no extra cost. We have abuse here also with many people without stickers and with using the spaces. Your state may do the same. Good luck!

For more than seven years, Berehulak has circled the globe covering news events for footballshirtsdoor . And for the past two weeks he has been working music box in northeast Japan, traveling from one ravaged city to another, meeting survivors and listening to their stories. While we have seen a host of images coming from love family the island nation, Berehulak's visual reporting is uniquely intimate.
