Because I am very ill; this is the place where I live. The people here are called ["residents" or rops ]"Residents of Phyllis Stewart".[ Iam a POPS] [Prisoner of Phyllis Stewart.]. There are 54 of us ; the majority are elderly and suffer from Dementia.[ This was something I had NOT considered]; [I assumed; from the name, that the place was full of veterans , prior to coming here. The place is part of a large complex; called "returned services league veterans village" I am the only veteran in Phyllis Stewart. It is "DAMN" lonely and my room is constantly invaded by other people; with all sorts of reasons for arriving there "eg." bang bang on my door, I open door; only to be asked "Is this Neutral Bay High School?" I really do not know what to do. Perhaps placing them in a "lock down facility" would help them?. I believe that victims of dementia/ alzheimers/ senility/ etc; can be helped; by exercising the mind; doing crossword puzzles etc and I have suggested that this could help these folk with Dementia. "ie" split them into 18 groups of 3 . Appoint 1 the leader; give them a crossword book and reward them with a small prize when they get 2 connecting words correct. This fell on deaf ears; the staff basically ignore  them; or laugh at them, even yell at them; hardly effective as help. They wander around the buildings ; often falling over and harming them selves][1 night I found an old lady; face down in a small garden there were cuts to her face and arms; she had fallen heavilly;  the staff; when alerted ; were more concerned about any spiders which could be lurking there ]. It just seems that no one cares about them. Relatives who approach staff are ignored and have to resort to complaints via independant Authorities to attempt to get justice and care for their loved one. [I have noted there are other places and I am assessed for a change to go ; but it will not just happen to morrow.[I have empathy for them; but I have no powers to assist them.]. This I do sincerely regret.

Just a country boy from Bathurst N.S.W. Bathurst was the first major town established after the mountain range [ known as the great dividing range was crossed]; It is now a CITY.
