;Actually his name is RODERICK and as  a very young policeman; he was drafted into the Army and of course found himself in the Military Police. Over the years ; we have continued to hurl insults at each other; me ; because I was dumb infantry and he spent his time in Nam chasing fellas like me out of seedy bars in VUNG tau. we kept contact and upon discharge; ROD rejoined  the police and we started pistol shooting with the Police pistol club at their indoor range in Sydney and the outdoor range at Holesworthy; We really only see each other now and again for a few beers ; but lo and behold; tonight my phone rings and he asks directions to my nursing home to pay a visit; No doubt the insults will still be there but a decent friendship never goe's away.
