Often; in different circumstances;I had to use Artillery to either set a DF or to assist in an attack. Most attacks were assaults on defended positions or "back up " when moving from A-B.. they used to have a fox's breakfast[ a piss and a quick look around], and if there was not enough enemy there; The choppers would come to take us to somewhere where we would be "more entertained", SO; Find an LZ; clear weapons and wait for the Chinook or bunch of Hueys to arrive for "our little trip". WE got so sick of this desperate need to get us killed BUT, what can you do about it? Write a letter home is all.
