The nickname given to White PHOSPHORUS GRENADES ,which we all carried in large khaki basic pouches, of Brittish design Always worn on the left side of a para belt; the great fear was that a bullet would hit the pouch; and the grenade; thus exposing the wp to Oxygen. IF IT did ignite; a terrible fate was about to happen the flame/heat from this would burn a hole right through you. We all carried wp/  fragmentation/smoke
grenades; but rarely used the frags; often used the smoke and sometimes the wp.[for bunker systems etc.]
