Have you found out anything for the other states - i.e. North Carolina?

I joined the Army while living in NC, but I am now living in Ohio. I am not qualified to receive a bonus from either state, because (1) I didn't join the military while living in Ohio (2) I am no longer living in NC where I joined. Should it matter which state you joined in and which state you now reside in? We served our country during war time........bottom line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this should extend back to other wars also. :Smiley

I agree with you, but state gov is not federal and can make up their own rules. I will try and find anything I can out.

I entered active duty Air Force Jan 14 1982 and received an honorable discharge Jul 31 1992. During my time of active duty service, I was a resident of Michigan while lastly stationed in Ohio. I became a resident of Ohio as of Aug 1 1992 and finished my military career in the Ohio Air National Guard to retirement as an Ohio resident to present.  I understand, if I read it right, that there is a bonus program, SB 168, approved for veterans who served during the required times? I do not qualify for the bonus in Ohio because I was a Michigan resident during my active duty time. would I qualify in Michigan since I was a Michigan resident durring my military active duty service? If so, how do I get the appropiate documents to file for this bonus? Thanks for your help.
